Huge, huge, huge culture change needed at Catalan. Mac banana may be able to improve that given his time in the NRL. I get the impression the players do what they want, when they want and the owner had too much input into things he shouldn't given his skill set.. It's not something he can change overnight. I hope he can, I'd like a strong Catalan and French game in general (throw in Toulouse, Avignon, Carcasonne and Villenueve for me too).

| Bit of a strange game I thought. Catalan looked strong down the middle and ran the ball hard, but there was little French flair from them. Patton was excellent with his attacking kicks but then didn't seem to make use of the wind to gain field position, and his HB partner Brown went AWOl. All he seemed to do was pass the ball down the line - except for that nice little chip kick for Hiku's try at the end. Lineham took his opportunities but his marking and defence was really poor. Julien looked pretty jaded to me. I suppose this long run of games he has had is gradually wearing him down but hopefully will put him in good stead for next year. Ratch looked classy and Morgan Smith was good value with his tackling and quick passing. If I was greedy I would have to say that I would like Smith to show a bit of his attacking moves as well.
And then there was the reffing, which was nothing short of laughable. Just as well we had the game in the bag.

That's the thing. They're not a French team. There's a awful lot of auz / English influence on the team recently and McNamara isn't exactly famous for his dynamic. Need to sort themselves out as they'll end up going from everyone's 2nd favourite team to everyone's favourite team in the championship!

Sorry Chaz a bit harsh on Patton and Brown, I thought Patton took the line on Brown actually put in a defensive stint. I agree with your summation elsewhere another positive contribution from Smith he tackles well for a guy his size quite fearless

Do you think that they deserve their 2nd favourite team tag I can't see much to get behind with the current set up, even as neutral, unless they were playing Wigan or Saints

Monitoring outside for the people inside: |

| Good to finally see lineham score a long range try. Didn't realise he could be as fast for someone his size.
I'm not fan of Saturday afternoon games though.

| Anyone explain how Westwood got MOM apart from the obvious reason being his 400th game, I don't begrudge him it but he was not MOM.

| Best result of the season for me, nothing about performance just the big 2 points. I honestly think we've won the 2 hardest games in the qualifiers already. I known others won't be a walk over but widnes is a big derby (for them) and catalans are quality on their day. Hopefully we will win the next 3 and be safe. We should win them all now but I'm not taking it for granted the way this season has gone so far.

The Leigh KR result will have hopefully helped any complacency issues that may have been around the camp

| The team are growing in confidence and you might argue that the 2 hardest games are now out of the way and it is 2 wins out of 2 ...... famous last words I know but let's enjoy the moment.
Les Cats were just awful in the first half and although they improved in the second half, when you look at the team on paper you wonder what is going on they should be better than that. You could say that about us but at least we are finally starting to show something.
Thought Patton had a good game and Hiku is proving to be a potentially superb signing, he is getting better with each game. A player playing centre who can pass, now there is a novelty.
Should now be really pushing for 7 out of 7

| Totally agree Hiku best signing for a long time. Noticed he is getting to be a fans favourite bit like Sandow was but without all the show off stuff. Likes to come over to the fans after a game gives his time. Hopefully that shows he's happy here so good signs for next season.

| Hiku seems an under the radar signing, rather like his almost namesake,Chris Hicks.
