Seriously though I really enjoyed the game, disappointed with the result but you can't win them all.

Thought both Mitch & McCarthy did okay, good to see them all getting a run out. Gets them match fit, ready for when we need 'em back..

Mitchell was good, looked to impose himself. He's a big lad, he gets about, he's mobile enough. Of the three, he's the one knocking on the door right now.

McCarthy looks a little lightweight somehow, but I thought he did okay last night. Took a mighty shot on HT.

Blythe, hmm, just doesn't look right does he. Not sure what he is still, not sure what he wants to be. Doesn't look like he tries too hard at times. He doesn't look a natural anything. Weird.

Would agree based on Mitch's last 2 games. But McCarthy has more to offer, definetly looks light though., Mitch's a giant.

looking at mitch last night you can see why everyone's been raving about him, puberty appears to have completed over the off season and he's now a full grown up(sadly with a ginger beard) looking very young morley esque.

Just one thing missing from Mitchell's game, and that's a bit of mongrel. He doesn't put himself about in the same way Harrison, Burgess or other SL back rowers do - I don't mean being dirty, I just mean playing to the limits of the rules. If he had a meaner streak then he'd make the step up tomorrow - until that clicks and he remains a nice guy, I can't see him exploding onto Super League. Genuinely think that's the only part of his game missing. Get that and he's cracked it and has a massive future.

Blythe was very average last night IMO...... maybe its down to the fact that it was his 1st game for us and with it being on SKY I thought he was a bit too eager to impress - hence the dropped balls etc.

....... this guy as been superb since he come to us, I hope we get to keep him all season as he is impressing so far. McCarthy is a good en but needs to bulk up a bit.

It was great game, and one that could have gone either way.

I'm looking forward to the U20's starting, and don't think we'll have it as easy this this year.
I don't particularly like the non-competitive U18's set up though.

It'll be interesting to see how the U15 and U16 comps go.
