| I am not a Warrington Supporter, and it is fair to say I have never wanted them to beat my club. Having said that, I have always thought that Warrington want to compete. They didn't even try last night.
I feel so sorry for the fans who spent quite a lot of money to go down to London to watch the fiasco that was on show.
I know that Tony Rea has improved the performance of London, but I don't think that he has improved them that much so that they could trounce Warrington.
Just one request. Can we have the same team when you come to Widnes on the 9th September?

| Why we lost (IMO)
1. Players were not committed
2. We can make 3-4 changes to team but not 7;
You lose team cohesion and by definition play people that are out of form (cooper and Bridge) and not match fit ( Solo ).
Does it matter ?
Because of the playoff system and Wembly next week, everyone was steeled for team changes and a possible loss. But to concede 60 points ?
All our teams, whether U15 or 1st team must be fully prepared and committed for every match they play. This was a failure of the coach and the team itself. It was unprofessional and unacceptable for the fans that spent the time and money going to the match.

| I was waiting for a big fat Warringtonian to set fire to his shirt a la March 2009 but Solomona didn't have any matches!

| Quote: Rogues Gallery "The problem is far more underlying than that.
Wire don't have the strength in depth that they perceive.
This will be harsh for many Wire fans to accept, but I think Smith will go in a couple of years when the "oldies" retire.'"
Nonsense. The fundamental reason that Wire lost by a big score last night is that London were outstanding - especially in the second half. The Wire team that took the field would have been good enough to beat the pre-Rea London. Last night's London was what some of us were expecting from the start this year, given the calibre of players in the squad. Warrington were not good last night, but credit to London where due.

| Quote: Live Wired "Just a few obvious notes on tonights game, and the season in general.
1/ You can count on 1 hand the number of impressive games we have played this season.
2/ We are nowhere near as an impressive team as we were last season. ( please don't quote stats like, by this time last season........
3/ A lot of the players on the pitch tonight we're just not interested..
4/ When Briers ( and it's taken 8 pages to name him) is not on the pitch, we are utterly clueless.
5/ This season has been by far the worse I can remember ( quality-wise) in SL. The sooner P+R is brought back, the franchise system is ridden, and winning SL is far more important than a separate comp finalising at Old Trafford, the better. What other sporting organisation rewards a team to be higher than the 1 that wins it's weekly rounds?
6/ Get Bridge fully-fit and put him 2nd row.
7/ Myler...just go away, only Offiah is laughing
8/ London played very well. Ok, they got a few decisions, but David Howells was certainly impressive, they were fast, hungry, clever at the ptb and Luke Dorn was 6/4 to score anytime
A few good points in what otherwise is an unjustified rant. London were very good last night ( which at least you have the grace to accept ), that's the main reason for the defeat. If the first half Wire were like we were at the start of the season, trying to score off every pass, dropping the ball as a result. London defended well then and attacked very well in second half.
As for P&R, I suppose London would have played much better last night had they been threatened with relegation?

So the question is what was the point in putting everything into our game if Smith knew there was a shot of losing the week after?
I know some will say just to beat you but i'd sooner be on the losing end coming into the play offs if we meet in the final i think our players will have an extra reason to go all out'"
Another fan who seems to have failed to notice how well London played last night.

See your second paragraph. London last night were outstanding, and played to the standard that could be expected from the quality of players in their squad. Rea has transformed them. I was in London and not happy but give credit to a great Broncos performance.

Because they've laid a marker down should we meet them again this year. Our players looks shocked and intimidated last week and the fact that a weakened Wire got hammered at London won't make a bit of difference should we play Wire in the play offs.
I've said all season I couldn't give a monkeys if we finish 1st or 4th because you get the same benefits pretty much and come those play off matches your league position won't matter.
The scars of previous matches might though.

| Received wisdom is that the best way not to get injured is to go in hard but I've never been totally convinced by this. It must have been in the minds of the players out there who hope to get chosen for next week that the worst thing that could happen is that they put themselves out due to damage done against London. You are not likely to get hurt in a tackle that you don't make or by not charging headlong into their biggest forwards.
Combining that with players who are out of position or don't play together too often and I suppose it's not the best recipe for success.
I hope there won't be a confidence issue as a result but there shouldn't be. I still think we're favourites for the final but it could be close and I look forward to a good game. I hope LRB is fit and plays against us.

As I have previously stated, Saints and Wigan were purely a case of getting second secured. Putting a marker down didn't really register until it was put to me yesterday. The intimidation slant was compounded further by Wane's preceding comments.
All that said, we did get mullered by London, so all that effort was in vain as we now can't win the LLS. Bearing in mind we have no control of Wigan's destiny.
PS
I think your thoughts may be a little too lateral for king warrior.

Don't expect any changes from the current board though.
Next week it will be same old same old no changes and the mugs like us will lap it up.
I've been watching Warrington 23 years and I have to say I can't remember things ever being like they are with the current shower.

Warrington were not good!Understatement of the year.As it's been already stated in previous posts from the very 1st 5mins you just knew that this Warrington team was not interested in putting any effort in whatsoever which even if it is Wembley next week is a shameful way to treat the die hards who have spent good money not to mention the time to travel down on a Friday. The bottom line is players had the chance to step up last night to impress + they failed big time which only leads to the conclusion that 1 were the players that know they won't be on next week in the mind set that why should they bust a gut in a meaningless game + 2 the so called regulars who know they're nailed on for a place didn't want to get injured?Eitherway this can only have a negative effect when fans are thinking of renewing their season tickets as if the players can pick their games why can't the supporters?.Defeat is acceptable with effort but totally unacceptable when there is none.

| Well said running man. I have the luxury of living 10 minutes from 'The Stoop' but I couldn't help wondering how those who'd made the long trip from Warrington, and would be making it again next week, would be feeling on their way home.
