well mark, it seems that if there is rumour of a signing, it seems some posters prefer not to debate it on here. As some posters will dig at you and one or two will name call you.

It doesn't appear to happen on other team sites so much.

Im fairly sure we are... i don't think TS is a big fan of announcing signings from other SL clubs when they still have games to play.

If i remember correctly he was pretty narked off when Huddersfield announced the Hodgson signing before the end of the season.

I imagine any signings that have been done/agreed with other SL clubs will be announced after the season ends for all concerned.

Broomhead said in France that no one else was due in after Anthony England.

That is what I am thinking. I don't know why we would now delay any announcements.

Even the Daryl Clark signing appears false and that was a very solid rumour. Wondering if Monas signing for one more year means it is now off.

not off...delayed...Monas leaves after next season...Clark to come in then....apparently.

That is my understanding as well. Signed this year, loaned back to Cas for next (to avoid the drop), then will play for us in 2015 season.

Then why not announce it?

From a colleague at work who lives near Clarkes parents. Apparently a few clubs were in for clarke but its all gone very quiet and he hasn't heard anything for a while. his mother was pleased he wasnt moving anyway.

it may be rubbish it may be true. but my coleague isn't the BS type or one for rumors. but prior to hearing this I too like others began doubting it would happen.

Look at it from another angle;

If we haven't signed him (and possibly a n other), that will leave a big hole in our salary cap for next year; Carvell was on £135k, I assume Moz a bit more £150k ?, Bert's salary presumably will be cancelled out by Asotosi. England will not be paid more than Coops, so that means we have around £280k of unspent salary cap - it may be a bit less after the contract renewals to other players, but then Blythe is also leaving and I think one other as well.

We are not a poor club, so why would we penalise ourselves by not spending up to the max ?
