For me last night has confirmed that in future when we are a half-back missing we shouldn't mess the team around to accommodate, we should bring a straight like-for-like replacement into the team in Gaz O'Brien.
I can appreciate the logic that Huddersfield away is not the palce to give a youngster a debut but having seen a lot of O'Brien over the last three years I cannot believe that we would have been any worse off. At the very least we would have had a long kicking game to play off the back of.
O'Brien is one that I believe can be Briers' long term replacement and I also believe it's time he can be trusted to perform for the first team when we are a half-back short.

probably got that applause due to the performance EVER THOUGH he was aparently killed 3 times over by carvell (who wasn't suspended for it) last week. |

Very tidy player who plays with a maturity beyond his years. He could do with a couple of pounds of muscle, but there is plenty of time for that. |
