Bob, I was more referring to if Warrington advance and reach top flight opposition.'"
Fair enough. Chances are the Premier League team would put out a weakened team and it's be closer than you think. Exeter drawing with United and United narrowly beating Crawley are two that spring to mind.

Thanks. Not being facetious I just know little about soccer. Although I have been to a couple of Warrington Town end of season dinners!

Exactly - I know some on here often question why Wire don't attract bigger crowds, seeing as Warrington is such a populated town, and the answer is a pretty simple one in that many people actually prefer, and actively attend, football.
I think if we are honest, only Wigan can really call itself a 'Rugby League' town in this country. Towns like ourselves, St Helens and Widnes are much more submerged in football than RL.

I lived in Hull for three years and RL is by far the bigger sport. The same can be said for Castleford, Featherstone and arguably a few other places.

Well if we go off participation, I believe more kids play RL there than in Wigan!

That must make gridiron the biggest sport in London then.

ironically that could be right, how many standard league games in any sport could sell out Wembley?

Fair points, but, generally a one off a treat, could they fill it 20 times a year? Also, if London FC was the only franchise in the capital and the Arsenal's and Spurs' etc never existed.....
Back on topic ish I support Wire RL and MUFC (a crime to some I know) but I hope Warrington Town have proper Cup Run and don't think it will harm our game.

Does it clash with the live arrival of the Titanic in New York on BBC1?
