| George Burgess has played very few games in the last three years, and has an injury that he's more than likely not got over. A no from me.

Yep 12 games in 3 years.
According to Wiki
Sadly suffering from gambling and mental health issues, together with the hip problem.
If Tony Smith was still in charge we would sign him as a "project".

| If he was fit and we brought him in for ONLY the rest of this year, before we get (fingers crossed) Tanginoa for next year, i wouldn't really be too fussed. But the fact he's not played for ages and retired i'd rather we didn't at all.
But also it's 99% likely just a bull crap rumour started out of nowhere anyway so i'm not gonna worry about it at all

The "projects" wasn't specifically a TS thing. Luther Burrell and Greg Inglis were signed under the Price era.
When you've been a cynical old Wire fan for a long time you start to realise that when you sign a player with red flags it is almost always a bad idea. I can only think of two who worked out.
The best was Chris Bridge, who joined us with loads of red flags about his "attitude" but he turned out to be a very consistent player over a long time.
The other red flag player who was good for us although we only had him for a couple of years was Nick Fozzard who had pretty much missed three full seasons out of the four seasons before we signed him with various injuries.

He had that much padding on his forearm, that I was convinced that he'd come straight from his other job training police dogs to catch villains, to Wilderspool stadium on match days.

If he's leaving here because he wants marquee money, and he's getting close to that on a 3 year deal at Saints, that's a hell of a deal. I'm sure he'll do a decent job for them, but it's very un-Saints-like.

| Ah that's a shame but we need to balance the cap and we have a good replacement in that area. We had his best years and he was a great signing for us. Wish him all the best and he will probably get a GF winners ring in those 3 years which he richly deserves.

| It would have to be a long marquee contract to reject a testimonial season.

Yes but its only a 3 month testimonial from the RFL, so not as lucrative and the tax savings aren't as good I don't think.
