I don’t think you’re wrong. Hughes jogging along next to an attacking player is the definition of this. Ratchford fighting to avoid a dropout minutes from the end is the opposite and the temperament we should be looking for from 1-17. |

Or Ratchford smacking a ball out to the side five metres out rather than, using his brain, and patting it out the back for a drop out....and converting some easy goals. We miss Ashton, he offers us much more. Ratchford is always very good at 'looking' interested.

Positional play- yes, yardage return yes, yes and yes, support play - yes yes and thrice yes, pivot - he's actually quite handy at that, being a running threat- oh yes, ambling about and being out of shot when tries are scored- not as good as stefan.

Not to mention his try saver that wasn't rewarded because of stupid refs call. We all know that was held up, we also know that Philbin got the ball to touch a blade of grass Which is all it needs to do. Big moments but not the reason we lost.
For me once again its the character and shear inability to cope with the game not going to script. Its a huge coaching failure IMO. Austin is really poor and I hope we do land Trueman and Holmes. |

Are you saying that should've been given as a no try? Despite ratchfords decent defensive effort(there's a first time for everything!)it was clearly a try.

Ratchford is our jake Connor. He has a reputation as a great player based on a few moments of excellence whilst ignoring all his shortcomings. |

The damage was done before Ratchford try saver but if the referee had called no try there wasnt any evidence to overturn that decision either. Suggesting Ratchford is a bad player is off the mark.
