I do not dispute that there is anyone at the club who doesn’t want to win the grand final, far from it but does that mean we’ve done our absolute best and made good decisions in the past ten years to enable us to win one?

There was a chap on Chris Evans a few weeks ago talking about how there’s often a gap between what people want and what they’re willing to do to achieve it. Hence all those gym memberships unused Feb-December.

I don’t know if firing Price mid-season is the best decision. But if it was, would we do it? I don’t think so. I don’t think that’s our style.

I don’t doubt that everybody involved at the club is desperate for that grand final win but how far are they willing to go to ensure it?

Developing your argument it is worth considering that we have not won a GF in 10 seasons of trying with realistic intentions (2010 onwards). Our other 3 main rival clubs have won multiple GFs in that time frame.

So, surely by deductive logic, either we don't really want it enough, or we desperately do want it but just don't have the capability to deliver it. Has to be one of those two doesn't it? Or have we just been serially unlucky?

We've made the final 4 times for in 10 years, I'm not happy that we have lost 4 times but it's a damn site better than the previous 10 years. I just think we need to scrape 1 and more will follow. I hope we are in the mic again this year, I'd rather be beaten finalists again than not get there and have the chance.

We all want to lose weight and get more money. Just wanting something isn't enough.

Some clubs in all sports have a mentality where they expect to win and anything else isn't good enough. Warrington still don't have that. With all the money we've spent, we should.

You speak to some Warrington fans and it's as if they're just happy to not be in Wilderspool getting thrashed every week.

Ominously for only the third game of the season, tonight does have a sense of being a watershed moment for Price.

With SBW back, Gigot (who usually causes us issues) in harness and poor conditions a bad day at the office might make the unrest terminal. As well as a convincing result we need a convincing[iperformance[/i because none of the next four games make me feel confident of a result.

By the end of March, one way or another, the situation should, indeed must, be clearer.
