| You would expect us to watch these overseas players before signing them. Somebody isn't doing their job.

Patton had me reminiscing when he gave Hill a dogging for being in the wrong position from a restart.

Exactly , seems to have taken up some of That Briers 'Boss' under the wing. And his bombs seem to have snow on them .

| Dec Patton is only 19, he's got a long way to go yet.
I admit I don't know that much about him, is he a Warrington born lad.
Also last season we signed a 16 year old from the Leeds academy who has huge promise but his name escapes me right now.

| Certainly good with ball in hand for the first half but seems also to have inherited an inability to defend as well. However Smith putting Ormsby, King and Patton down the edge defence is suicidal. Patton needed some physical presence to cover him.
They will be a target for the opposition.

Absolutely.... i didn't understand after the first few tries why Smith didn't move it around a bit.. swap bridge and King, Westwood and Currie or Monaghan and Ormsby... He just watched us get destroyed all night down that side.

| Agreed. An easy change would have been to put Currie on the outside shoulder of King.
Patton was unfortunately trampled by Tomkins and Gelling and needs a player with a physical presence like Atkins to protect him.

| Until last night I was fully behind TS but it's obvious his recuitment skills are not as good as his man management.
We could do with bringing back Cullen to build the side and then replacing him with TS again to run it!

| We look like a side that will probably end the season in 7th/8th place and lets face it, if we keep conceding 30 points+ in matches then we will lose more games than we win. Our defence reminds me of the late Cullen/early Lowes era.
Hopefully the youngsters we keep developing and get plenty of game time as I can see us reaping the benefit of this in a few seasons time. Could do with spending some money next year though on some real quality to ensure we are competitive though. A decent Halve to play next to Patton would help his development immeasurably and take some pressure off him. He looks like he could be class for us.
