| Every club in almost every sport has glory hunters so get over it.I say welcome them with open arms even if it's just for a final as without them Wembley(both teams)would have looked very empty not to mention a e atmosphere which would not have been a very good advert for the sport.

If I am correct that could not happen. It would be back at your ground, sadly.

Nope, whoever wins on Friday gets home advantage in the semi final.

| I thought that too...whichever two teams win the first play off games have home advantage in the semis.
The highest place has the choice of semi opponents but it has to be out of the two coming up, not the other winner.

Yep, that's why these first round games are crucial. Win, and you get home advantage and a week off, and as you say potentially the clubcall.

No, look at the post 71 quoted. "If we were to lose on Friday then with in week 2 and eventually win at the HJ in round 3". 71 was actually correct.

DD is a saints fan. If Saints lose on Friday night then we will play away on Week 3 (if we win in week 2 of course), the most likely option is we will end up playing Warrington again but at the HJ

No I thought that 1st and 2nd get home advantage in all games even if they lose game one , in game two and then in game three they still get home advantage.

| Nope, if any of the higher ranked teams lose in the first week, they also lose the priveleges, ie home advantage and clubcall if they reach the semis (week 3)
So, if Wigan lose to Leeds and we beat Saints, then we will have a home game and club call in the semi.
Leeds will have a home game against the other team.
Saints and Wigan will go into week 2 with home games but will lose that advantage in week 3 if they progress.

Oh right thanks.
So this Friday really is a must win game.
Originally I thought we could ease off a tad this week and save ourselves knowing we would have to return to Knowsley Road for the semi final.

Isn't that being a little disrespectful to the other teams as we are taking them for granted that we will turn them over in week 2. After all who ever we play will be on the back of a win and we will be on the back of a loss with possible injuries too so i think it's important that we win on friday (and i think we will )

| The team's who finished third and fourth both lose twice and missed out on the semi last year. Take nothing for granted.
I'm not gonna lie though - I'd be absolutely gutted in we won on Friday then lost to Saints two weeks later. I want to win the last ever game at Knowsley Road and we need to lose on Friday in order to be playing in it, but if we lose on Friday then lose the following week (or win but get chosen by Wigan) I'll never have seen us win at Knowsley Road in countless visits. Not a great thought.
Friday's game is therefore something of an enigma.

| I dont think Wigan would choose us if they win TBH.
IF it goes the way i think its going too, then Wigan will beat Leeds, We will beat Saints. Wigan will then choose Leeds again (as leeds and saints im sure will turn over whoever they get in the next round), and wigan will hope us and saints will knock ten bells out of eachother and be goosed for the final, as they will beat leeds again.
Wigan Vs Wires Grand Final me thinks.

I don't think Wire winning at Knowsley Road in the last meeting would lose us any sleep. Losing to you in the last ever Knowsley Road game full stop, would.
I actually think its alot more important to you given your injury problems as it would give you a chance to rest Lomax and co for week 3, I don't think Wembley has taken much if anything out of us we were well rested before and after the final an also during the season players have been given breaks here an there by Smith like Morley.
