They signify people have paid a lot of money to sit in them, and when they do that it makes sod all difference to the overall look of the stadium, or are we concerned with what an empty stand looks like on a non0-match day?'"
hmmm, this looks an even more strange answer now given what is being done in the new corner. Why do that if empty stand appearance is unimportant? The new corner will look great and it's a shame we'll have that odd strip of yellow seats not far away.'"
If you mean the ones at the back of the North Stand, they have been/are being removed and replaced with blue. |

It amazes me how much room is taken up by tunnels and walkways at the HJ. Compare it to some of the big football grounds, they have far more seats to walkway area.
