Yeh your right, I mean why should we bother reading any news anywhere when you are always right

| Quote: easyWire "That suggests to me that we've nailed him for a big marquee deal. If he went to Australia he'd be the best hooker down there and worth every cent of a big NRL salary. If they are only offering him peanuts in relative terms then he'd be making a big sacrifice by dragging his family over there. What's the incentive for his wife if they go there without building a nice nest egg? She'd be dragged away from family just for him to show off his skills in a better competition.'"
The best hooker in the NRL? I'm not sure about that. Hodgson has been very good in the NRL and you've got the likes of Cook and Koroisau, even before you look at the younger generation, and as ever they have some very good players coming through.
That big marquee deal would have to be pretty decent. The average NRL player is now on £218,000 with an increase due with the new TV deal. The average Super League salary is £80,000. If he'd be the best hooker you would imagine there will be several sides after him. Certainly looks a good situation for his wife

But you said it yourself when you mentioned Hodgson, who was bang average over here. If Roby or Clark had been in the NRL the last five years they’d look far far better than Hodgson.

This, Clark is far better than Hodgson. I'd be very disappointed jtednif he left but it would be interesting to see how he went in the NRL.

Got to remember Hodgson played in an awful team over here. Clark has a better running game than Hodgson definitely, not sure he has much else over him. I think if Hodgson had come back and played in a decent team he'd look outstanding, he's certainly far better than our reigning Man of Steel.

| Better hookers there may be in the NRL, but Hodgson isn't one of them.

The only thing Hodgson has over Clark is a better kicking game. Clark is superior in every other department.

Put it this way if canberra approached us to swap Clark for Hodgson, Canberra would be getting the better deal. Don't get me wrong I'd hardly be underwhelmed with Hodgson at wire but I'd still view it as a slight step down.

| McShane given a new deal at Cas.
The hope is that it means we're never interested in him as Clark is going nowhere. Fingers crossed.

I was about to post the same.
I think if Clark was off we’d know about it by now. Or maybe we are waiting to see if Widdop stays or goes. If he goes Clark gets a marquee spot. If he stays, Clark can either wait a year or gamble on a move overseas with a new baby. Not ideal.

| Being a long standing Warrington fan, initially I’d be gutted if Daryl Clarke left. However if he feels he needs to test himself in a better league fair play to him. Himself and his wife seems to be friendly with the Austin family away from rugby and Gold Coast Titans have been mentioned as a possible destination for both players. Maybe I’m reading between lines too much. However what better than to leave with a Harry Sunderland medal and gold ring at end of season to go with his Lance Todd.
I’m also really starting to like Danny Walkers contributions out there this season, he’s getting better by the game.
I’ll put this out there. Under the coaching of Daryl Powell, Castleford have produced 3 no Men of Steel winners incidentally 2 of them hookers.

Then hopefully Clarke or Walker will be our first man of steel in modern era.
