| This can only be good news for us. One has to assume that Radford will be itching to get back into it and would leap at the chance to start early, making Cas more likely to release Powell somewhere down the line (though we’d have to see a dip in their form for that to be on the cards).
I’d like Henderson to get the assistant job at Cas, he must’ve been hoping for the top job here and anything lower than super league is a step backwards for him. I wonder whether Salford will be on the cards if their disappointing results continue.
Briers needs to be looking for something in the championship and work his way up, if he wants to stay in the game.

Powell wasn’t the first choice of Wire fans!

Not all wire fans but he was up there I would suggest. Powell is who I wanted anyway.

He wasn't mine I admit BUT that's not how the discussion developed because the rumour mill on here was that we were going to be living in Wane's World

I'm not sure you can be certain of that. How do you know?
We have a silent majority of fans that do not appear on social media.
It is a bit like an election when the silent thinkers have their say.

Powell was always my first choicedoes[/i have a record of improving every club he has been at. No trophies admittedly but then few coaches win trophies with the squads he's had to work with. He certainly has had his teams up the near the top of the table, similar to where we have been but with significantly less resources and expectations. If he can turn us into a more consistent and ruthless team, we'll stand a better chance of playoff success, rather than the odd cup win and an early exit come October.

Didn't he get the hubcap with cas? Doubtful anyone else could have managed more than that really. We are in a period of transition we have lost some stalwarts and other are coming to the end too. He's the perfect man to rebuild us IMO.

| What a weird situation.
If Cas believe Radford is the right man, why not just make the change now?
The situation seems untenable. I don't think Price or Powell will see the season out at their respective clubs.

| So say Radford tries to talk to Trueman about staying at Castleford but the Castleford boss has already talked to him about going to Warrington. Radford who isn't Castleford's coach has to deal with Castleford's coach trying to get one of Castleford's players to leave Castleford. Meanwhile, Warrington's coach doesn't care who plays for Warrington next year but has to deal with players whose futures are being decided by the Castleford coach.

| I liked the quote from the Cas fan who said:
"It's like Kylie Minogue is divorcing you and Kylie Leuluai is replacing her....."

Its a very good and reasonably obvious point, you make.
I think both clubs are getting away with it at the moment, due to the lack of crowds inside grounds. I can see once crowds are back & either Wire, but especially Cas, have a bad run of results, then there will be a huge pressure to make immediate changes to the coaching situation.

| At least the current Cas coach doesn't make anything of it. He works with the 17 he has in his matchday squad and you never hear him moan about injuries. Ever.

| Personally I don’t care how much moaning, criticising refs or governing bodies is done by a coach as long as we are doing the business on the field. Michael Monaghan was the biggest whinger to refs on the field but I had no issue with it as he was still producing the goods.

There’s a difference between trying to influence a decision on field and a bitter epilogue of how the world is against them.
