It does, but that doesnt cover the actual way that he's signed, this has only come out this afternoon that he's practically signed as an amateur, so can only play in reserve games.

| I fully expect the same 17 as v Wakefield; apart from ditching Matty Russel which in hindsight was his attempt to establish authority early doors, Price doesn't do surprising team changes.
We need Ratch in the team and we want Ashton in it so I'd go SR at centre, Ashton FB and Mamo at home watching Corrie.
I'd like to see Johnson given a run out, but again, unlikely.
Ho hum.

Do Toronto have a reserve team?

| Id just play him and send a £10k cheque to the RFL...tbh I wish we would. Every club that has won a GF have been salary cap cheats at some point.

| So it looks as though the team to face Toronto will be the same as last week except Mamo drops out to be replaced by Ratchford and 'the hand of god' intervenes to put Ashton back at FB.
I am fine with that, Matty is an exciting player to watch, I just hope the crowd will be patient with him as he will undoubtedly make quite a few cock ups as he learns his trade.

He's played 13 before and was fine. You don't have to use a LF as another prop battering ram you know. An a sensible LF knows exactly how to float around the pitch where they don't have to get stuck in the middle for 80 minutes. Something A fullback knows instinctively.

The downside is if the opposition have a "third prop" at loose then it puts more work on the rest of the pack when defending.
Do many teams play with a third pivot at loose? Doesent seem to happen much any more.

Hasn't made any so far against two top teams in tense local derbies, so he's in credit in my book. That's confidence for you, and something that seems to have been lacking in most of our young debutants.
I suppose we could count the pass when tackled against Saints as a mistake but it's that sort of cocky flair that will make a difference to our attack.

| Perhaps the 3rd prop at loose is what is stifling the game. Maybe time to get back to the athletic ,running loose forward linking up with the backs to expand play & bring the spectacle back.
As for Matty Ashton ,my view is that playing on the wing would be a waste of his more important talents.

I would love to see that, remember Norton playing for Hull or Harry Pinner for Saints, Sculthorpe even.

The player in our ranks who fits the Sculthorpe mould the best is Ben currie, I'd love to see him there especially playing the game the way he was pre injury, his defence is sound too. We have a problem because at the minute we have ratchford, Austin, widdop and Ashton who ideally we need to fit in to the team in some capacity. It would suit a more dynamic structure in attack, but no way is Steve price the man to bring that in.
I'd probably play ratchford at 13 over centre, he needs his hands on the ball and won't see enough at centre, ratchford is probably the most creative player we have. If they're all fit I'd hope that Ashton, ratchford, Austin and widdop all play. Also ratchford for captain from now on.

Correct. Currie and Livett are both players would would be a perfect fit as a 13 at Warrington. One will never be back to where he was pre-injury and one we let go. If we want to accommodate both Ashton and Ratch, then Ratch at 13 is our best shout.
Hill
D. Clark
Cooper
Currie/Hughes (pick one or the other. both the same player at the minute for me, they both offer the same amount as each other.)
