I suppose if I was on here saying how Hock should play the system to get around a ban you might have a point, but since I wasn't it rather looks like you're talking out your backside matey.

No-one is playing the system. You look at the video, check the evidence, make a plea. I'll guarantee every other club does the same thing. Your problem on this, and most other subjects, is that you consider your opinion to be right, and everyone else to be wrong.

| To be honest the punch by Westwood was no worse than (was it ?) Dudson whipping M Monaghan's head backwards with a high tackle but we don't hear any condemnation for that . Having finally watched some of the game in replay ,the attack by Hansen seems to have been more of a shoulder charge (aren't they illegal ?) which caught the hip & then slid down the leg towards the knee of Ratchford. Hansen's attempt to actually tackle Ratch with his arms was feeble to say the least .

| How did ratch get his ankle rattled? Not seen again since, this looked quite bad in the ground, standing leg hit, was it intentional at all?

The Dudson one was probably only just a penalty. He made contact over the shoulder, on the ball but as Monaghan started going down it just about went around his neck.
Hardly worth mentioning.

He wasn't eligible to take the EGP then as it states further down. He just pleaded guilty on this occasion without taking the EGP. So I assume its 12 months so unless he has used it since March this year he can take EGP.

I am almost certain he can't take the egp as he has had another suspension early this year. You have to have had a clean record for at least twelve months.

Because it was a "legal" tackle, do you not understand that?
Apparently every single tackle Warrington made in that final was illegal, and every Wigan tackle was legal. Isn't that what's being said....

The only mention of tackles is coming from Wire fans. What about Hansen attacking the knee? It was the hip. Oh right, well what about Dudson? He hit the shoulder and ball. Well what about Flower? Are you lot going to work your way through our team sheet until you find something? Maybe you could have a go at Pat for attacking Cooper's swinging arm with his face.

| Does any of this matter now?
Westwood was naughty and will get punished end of!
There were other tackles that are these days deemed high shots when they actually are just arms and such slipping over the ball. They are however dealt with on the day either by the "on report " kop out route or by this and a penalty.
The Hansen thing is viewable form both points and can be construed as an accident or intentional. The committee have viewed it accidental, end of!
Theres a constant stream of high shots every week and the resulting penalties are actually reducing this. The way to stop what Hansen alledgedlly did is to outlaw tackling in that manner. Only tackling held up players above waist height, anything below is auto Sin Bin just like the late challenge on the kicker.
No matter what we put in as a rule someone will always break it, but if the punishment is sevre enough the instance will reduce.

Surely the difference is INTENT. Dudson was actually going for the ball - but missed. It was a penalty and no more. Hansen's tackle wasn't illegal - the ref saw it clearly.
He didn't see the punch by Westwood. Quite what the mitigating circumstances are I've no idea.
Probably best to make a joke of it like Shaun Wane did, saying Green should have got up quicker. Wane showed a lot more class than Tony Smith. He never moans about foul play as he recognises that in RL you give it and you take it. Which is what Wigan did and what Warrington apparently can't do.

Hmm. Is this the same Shaun Wane who was complaining about wanting Tomkins to get more protection from referees and if he didn't, "whatever happens to Sam, I'll make sure that our defenders do the same"?
Yeah, real classy guy who never moans about foul play.
