Cooper Hill Harrison Moz all offer more than Wood we have props who are playing consistantly better than Woody.
Props are a key part of the team and we have props who are doing really well Cooper Hill Moz Harrison and other who can play there Solomona Tyke Waterhouse and some good ones in the 20's and its only Huddersfield who think props are irrelevant

17 players took to pitch tonight and they were all about as useful as a car with no wheels

Whichever way you want to dress this up he is shot. Not one good enough performance this season.

Maybe it's because he lost the ball every time he frigging had it thats why he's got the blame game this week.Personally I've only ever rated him an average player,bit like Clarkey come to think of it.Don't think I've ever seen a player have so many brain farts as him so while agreeing most of the players were cack he stood out a mile imo so thoroughly deserves this weeks accolade + why people get so heated up over threads like this honestly don't know as the opening poster is only expressing HIS opinion only.

Wood doesnt deserve his starting place anymore theres nothing wrong with people saying that, Cooper has been one of our best forwards this season so wont come close to being dropped however i will say one thing.. Cooper is NOT a 2nd row. Bridge was shocking yes but he is still a key player

Deary me, has it come to this.
Two years ago, Wood was being spoke about (quite correctly) as a fantastic player.

DO WE REALLY HAVE TO HAVE A PLAYER WHO HAS TO TAKE THE BLAME EVERY WEEK. WE WIN AS A TEAM, WE LOSE AS TEAM.

No, Wood didn't stand out a mile as our worst player. Look at the game again, and you'll find plenty of players who made just as many mistakes, if not more, than Wood, but then again, maybe you were looking for it (an excuse to blame Wood).


By the way, I'm only expressing MY opinion.

Exactly Coops is a prop or can play loose forward and even then he plays like an extra prop and don't know what happened to Bridge this year apparently he has a knee problem or something and Woody is not a player who should get into a top sides starting 13 and is nothing more than a squad player as we have 4 better players in his postion

It wasn't just tonight for Wood. His whole season has been poor and I can't see him improving.

Woody is not doing the things he was doing a couple of years ago his offload choices are not what they were a couple of years ago he is not tackling as well and has become more incline to lose his rag more often like with heremaia against hull last week

Paul Wood hasn't been good all season. I think Cooper has been average as well. This isn't a knee erk reaction to the result but an assesment of the whole season.

Always thought he's an average player + always will so that will never change no matter what.Also i watched the whole match + i stand by what i said in my previous post.Yes many players made mistakes but when he's got the ball your heart is in your mouth + that's not because of watching him in 1 match either.If i'm not mistaken he even admitted a couple of weeks ago in the Guardian he needs to keep hold of the ball more instead of trying to offload everytime.So much for taking his own advice + fwiw i can't stand tennis but i'll bear that in mind.My own opinion + mine only.

Wood is one of my favourite players and has been one of our most consistently good for many years.

This season, and last night in particular, he has been poor.

FFS let's give him a chance to regain that form, there is no way he's shot. He just needs to engage his brain at times, I think he's being asked to play too much of an offloading game and that's clouding his judgement.

Carvell was struggling earlier this season but look at the response from him. Not sure Woody can do the same.

If Chris Bridge keeps this form up, Woody won't be the forum scapegoat for long...
