I went into the Kings Head once last season for the 1st time ever.
As I left I told myself it would a long time before I went there again. My feet were actually sticking to the floor as I walked, the last time that happened to me was in the very early 1980's at Tracy's Nightclub behind where Mcdonalds in Bridge street is now.

I used to watch the Escape committee too, went in there a month ago out with mates on a Friday and asked what group was on, reply was not been one on for a year, so supped up and went elsewhere! |

the council have had a nasty habit of " accidently" knocking down listed buildings over the years. School Brow was another.
Winwick st is an absolute eyesore, the council spent thousands and years getting rid of that texstile place, and have just left it to be a carpark. We had plans, for hotels, shopping centre, houses, cinema, yet, are left with a car-park.
Same on the old Lockers site, yup, all of the above, and now we have a carpark. Now, the council have come up with plans to develop a " waterfront" I could gladly bet my mortgage that, that too, will become a carpark. |
