Is this to do with Tom Hark? I always believed we were the first too, and indeed it was so obscure at the time that the Guardian refered to it as "a minor hit for the Piranhas" without stating its name. Finding out its name wasn't easy, nevermind finding the track, although my mate did find it on 7" at a record fair in Lincoln in 1998 when I was at uni and got it for me.

Nonetheless it is now so widespread and generic that we should have binned it at least five years ago in my opinion. I disagree with music over the PA anyway as I believe it stifles natural celebration, but if it must be played then we need to find something original like we did in 1997.

True - couple of good memories though. I remember the game at Wilderspool where he played 'Hallelujah' when we got a penalty against Saints or against (Bradford I think) when they played with 14 men for a set. 'The game will now revert to 13 a side'.
