| I dont think i could stomach anymore Vinnie Anderson to be honest, he surely has to be an absolute last resort these days.

| Quote: Paul Youane "Very valid position however for the bulk of last week we had Vinnie at centre so for me Bridge to come straight in for him and keep the rest as it was for the bulk of last week's game.
Mathers
Hicks
Bridge
Atkins
King
Grix
Myler'"
Is Bridge back this week.

Surely that was only because Riley was off the field for most of the game after being poked in the eye? What has Bridge done this season to warrant walking straight back into the team at the expense of Riley? If he were to come straight back in surely Atkins would make way in the centres or Grix in the halves?

| Riley can't play centre so I don't see it's a question of Bridge replacing him (if Bridge is fit).
I think Hicks is a better option on the wing than Riley. Its admittedly tough on Riley but that's the way it is. If anything you could argue Riley at full-back in place of Mathers but I'd be worried about the loss of vocal organisation. Riley by his own admission last year is not the most vocal on the pitch.
May well be that Bridge is best given another week to fully recover, as mark_m implied - don't fix what isn't broke.

| Bridge will be back and it may well mean that Riley drops out.

Agreed. I can't believe anyone is even thinking about leaving out Hicks. Short memory syndrome strikes again.

To be fair it might be worth giving him a game in the reserves just to get a little more match fit then bring him in for Saints... his defence wasnt the best against Hudds and got caught out a few times... We'll not struggle against Celtic without him.

I think that title belongs to Brian Bevan.

| I'm sure there might be a couple of issues with giving 32 year old Chris Hicks a game for the u20's this weekend.
I just can't think what they might be.

| TS will leave the team as is for this week. He will then have the selection issues as good as they are for the Bradford game and then Stains away!

| Given Riley's performances, why should Hicks walk back into the side at Riley's expense?

I thought you were allowed 3 overage players in the under 20's this year as opposed to last year when you were allowed 8??

You could name 17 over-age players this week. They don't have a game.

I didn't mention this week. I was referring to your comment on Chris Hicks being 32 and the couple of issues on him not playing in the under 20's.
