| Martin Dawes went into 'pre-pack administration' which effectively kills off the old company, creates a new one which buys the business and goodwill, and allows the business to continue trading as Martin Dawes. As they've closed all their retail shops as part of this, I imagine they're going to need as much advertising exposure as they can get, so I would be surprised if they stopped sponsoring the stand.

I'm pretty sure their shop at Gemini is still and has remained open.

that's the offices there, above the shop. It's where they run the thing from.

That's their head office, so it makes sense to keep the shop element open so at least customers have somewhere to visit.
In any case, you're more likely to get customers on a retail park than you are on the high street, where their other shops were. I was also surprised to read that they only had nine shops. I thought they'd a lot more than that.
Apparently their online shop is still trading, and I think that's pretty much how they want to focus their business in the future. Not overly convinced, personally.

| There is also another part of Martin Dawes on Crab Lane, they develop software for mobile phone companies, billing.
For anyone that remembers him Barry Dowd is one of the Directors there....(Ex Widnes player)

I remember him. Winger, wasn't he? And a useful goalkicker.

| Martin Dawes aren't just shops, they have a manufacturing unit too. I can't remember quite what it is that they do, but I don't think it's the same as the rental business.
If we're lucky, we can wait till after Bank Holiday weekend and rename it the Tony Smith Stand

Yes, it meant myself and about 90 others were out of a job on June 30th.
Luckily, I'm back in work again now, but it certainly felt a very underhand way to go about things with their "Off the shelf" company buying out the original company.
I was assistant manager at the Crewe branch, so was doing pretty well for myself there commission wise. But anyway, that's in the past, I just heard a whisper that the rest of the company had disappeared into the mists.
Martin Dawes himself sold his other businesses for quite a good few million, Martin Dawes Solutions and Martin Dawes Communications. They've kept the name, but they aren't actually part of Martin Dawes itself as such.
I did go and take a look at Westbrook yesterday and saw the shop was still trading, although it certainly wasn't busy.
Anyway, guess they're still going, so the stand name will be remaining for a while.
Would agree though, it was nice having the Billy Boston stand at Central Park, to have a Brian Bevan stand at Warrington would be a fitting honour for another RL legend.

| Seeing as the rental arm of the business pulled in in excess of a million a month, it was the main part of the business external companies were interested in. Therefore, even if Martin Dawes DID completely sell up shop and disappear, there would be no problem finding a buyer for that section. The only thing you'll need to worry about is what happens if something goes wrong with your TV.
Have you considered finance?
