Took a chance & went on the A702 instead of the M8. 4 hours both ways. As for parking I parked on St. James place undercover at the price of £16 which was 4 days for the price of one.

Left Warrington at 5:30 on Friday evening and was parked up, checked in and down the pub in Kinross (25 miles north of Edinburgh) just after 10. Actual journey time of a touch over 4 hours.

Left Kinross at 9:15 and after a 'comfort brake' and the roadworks at Preston I was home by 1:45. Journey of 4.5 hours.

As I didn't use the car at all between parking up then leaving the hotel, I think i may train or even fly next year.

Just so you know.

We did a little experiment. I drove, my mum and dad got the train and my sister and her husband flew.

It took me 4 hours 27 (with a 25 minute stop)minutes door to hotel reception. total cost for me about £70 betwen 3

My mum and dad 3 hours 51 mins/ Cost £65 x 2 for tickets

..and finally my sister 3 hours 31 mins cost of about £90 each as they had to get the train back.

What is your problem with people going out of their way to supply cheap costing transport to away games for our fans?

Al is charging £12.50 to Featherstone (I think), which is a damn sight less than people would have to fork out in petrol and car parking charges.

So what's the problem, really?

Left Lowton at 12:50 on friday, got to Rosythe/Dunfermline at 16:30, and that was with a crash on the M6 (anyone see the car in the embankment with no roof?) and Blackpool traffic.
