I think maybe the good doctor is getting whoever is willing to play for his club. Seems a bit drastic of a trio like Chase,Hansen & Patterson to opt for a career in the Championship with Leigh rather than play for superleague Salford.

Poor Salford fans. From Rangi Chase to Gaz OBrien. Cory Paterson to Phil Joseph.

Phil joseph and gaz obrien will be squad players. Also lets be honest it's not worked with these so called superstars it may not work with these players, but what we need is no dramas plus we'll be saving a lot of cash!

To be honest ,Rangi Chase, although brilliant at times,always seemed to me to be too volatile & was hyped up by the commentators who probably were mesmerised every time they said his name. Patterson was only too happy to leave HKR in the lurch last time he was in England & Wigan had Hansen's best years.

I do wonder what financial legacy will be left at Salford when the Dr decides to call it quits.

We nearly had no club when he bought us so I do't mind the excitement.
With regards to the signings, I'm pretty happy tbh. You forget we aren't like yourselves or the other big clubs who can focus onbringing in 1 or 2 top class players. We need major work, to correct previous errors over the last couple of years. Sheens is an immense signings and we seem to be focused more on the team and not signing superstars (thank God). Think we will still bring in a hooker and centre (Monaghen by the sounds of it )and these signings will compliment the remaining squad. Hoping for top 8 next year and fairly confident now

At this time that is what Salford have been missing the most. Chase didn't even give full committal to the cause at Castleford.

I think the Doc is coming around to understanding that without a strong youth structure you cannot break into the elite 4/5 with consistency.
Signing players the like of GOB will give Salford the time and savings to develop home grown talent.

GOB and players alike are more than capable of keeping Salford a SL team year after year.
Once Salford has succeeded with a forceful youth structure, mix that then with superstar signings and top get a top 4 formula.
