| He was worse than poor, he was a disgrace.
He almost choked on his whistle in his haste to give the Mickey Mac try, in full knowledge that it came from a voluntary tackle from Farrell.
Not to mention:
-Finch's professional fouls every time we made a break
-Hansen kicking the ball away in the first couple of minutes ('Wire knock on')
-A high tackle against Myler when he barely reached chest-height.
-A high tackle against Morley when he barely reached chest-height.
-The Lauaki debacles.

| Ref's NORMALLY get proved to be correct, when everything is slowed down.
But tonight, Silverwood made some WHOPPERS.
Poor show from him tonight.
He missed a lot of things. The game (at times) looked like it was going to go out of his control. He should have called the captains together, and got them to tell their teams to cool it. He never did, and the game was always on a knife-edge.

that was a stinker......in that first half he gave wigan everything... i dont know how we managed to go in at half time 12-12.
to be fair wigan lost the game by kicking a goal when they had us under the kosh... we went right down their end and scored... they got what they deserved for being cowards and taking the 2.

| I wouldn't say cowards, but showing you guys great respect. As for Silverwood, real poor game from him and his comment about " you was lucky he landed on his back otherwise you would of been off" was a joke. Well done anyways, glad ya won and hopefully the giants will be top after Sunday's game.

| There was a point in the second half where Morley had tackled Finch, the ball came loose and dropped to the ground. I was a little distracted by conversation and couldn't hear the commentary, but I seen the ref give the ball back to Finch and I don't recall a penalty being given, nor do I recall the tackle count changing. How can a player drop the ball/have it stripped and then be told to play on?

Totally perplexed by that one too.
The face that Finch pulled subsequently - I haven't seen one like that since primary school when a kid I knew had his chewits nicked.

Mrs G told me to calm down, at that point.

| this letting go of the ball and claiming a strip is creeping into the game now.
I thought we got done by it twice, and Peacock did it in the leeds game.
it seems that the most contorted face pull combined with a shout of "stripping sir" wins the decision.
needs looking at

What, like when Finch offloaded the ball to Blythe's hand, yet the ref claimed a strip? Looked to me like Blythe was just trying to block the offload, then when it came loose he claimed it as his own as any player would, only for the ref to call an illegal strip.

| Wasn’t good, but I can excuse the odd wrong decision as I do think there are some things that are impossible to decide on. With players tackling the ball in contact, it’s often impossible to decide if the ball coming loose is due to undue pressure or a loose carry. There was one occasion, I think it was Atkins who got pulled for a rip, when viewed in slow motion it blatantly wasn’t. I’m not going to criticise the ref for something I would only pass judgement on after watching the replay, but;
This is the second game this season a player has committed an infringement that the ref has seen. The rules state that the offence warrants a card, and all the ref has done is put the incident on report. It’s such a cop out and needs to go, now! It’s an absolute f’in joke. Mistakes I can excuse, but not adhering to the rules of the game makes my blood boil.
