| Two lads who looked between 15 and 17 accompanied by three lads about looked about 13 or 14. All swigging from a fairly large bottle of Smirnoff.
Chanting with every other word being f**k or c**t, and then accusing people of being "boring" for not joining in with him.
After his FOURTH request for me to shake his hand I put the little tart in his place and for the rest of the journey I didn't hear a peep. Then when we arrived at Tescos him and his mates were the first people to dart off the coach.
Justice.

A small minority of parents who don't like their annoying, embarrassing children give them £20 and tell them to go to St Helens, watch the match, and stay over at a friends.

I'm glad you told them.
They need telling off. At the same time, though, they crave attention.
If you can scare them into shutting up well done.

Thanks, me and my friends had pretty much decided to put up with it as it can be argued to be part and parcel of rugby.
But after a while I had just had enough and refused to be the punch line in his attempt to make his friends laugh.
I didn't really tell him off, or even scare him, I just questioned what he was doing and made him look like a tit until he backed off.

They really are the drain on the Wire support.
You have to question if it is the rugby or something less savoury that keeps them coming back.

Well as I pointed out to my friend, although I am 98% sure he was pretending to be "drunk" to impress his friends, if you asked any of them how much of the match they remembered I doubt they could give you a decent answer.
They were the annoying little types who just stand at the back and chat and then say stupid things like "Solomona is crap take him off Smith blah blah blah".
PS I am not trying to open an "Anti Glory Hunter" Style Debate can of worms, I accept that even people like this bring money in for the club, but if I am honest I would rather they didn't bother coming.

Think that may be a hot topic.
Btw, What is a glory hunter??
See, if they were supporters since we won the CC.
They have had a year to understand the finer points of the game.
I believe if some watched rugby for a year they would fall in love with it.
This leads me to think that we have some supporters, including the ones you spoke to, who are there to get drunk, be loud and cause trouble.
Then again they may be the true idea of glory hunters who just go to finals and big matches.

I would say I am a typical Wire fan.
I go to matches as and when I can.
I go with family and friends and meet up with others at the ground. I like to have a bit of friendly banter with the opposition supporters.
I don't get bladdered, don't swear (much), like a bit of a chant when appropriate but don't like being told what to do by 14 year olds with a drum.
I don't always 'sing' but shout my support in relation to what is happening on the pitch.
I like to talk about the game and discuss issues that arise on the pitch.
I am dismayed by the behaviour of people supposed to be supporters of the game - very little knowledge of the game, no desire to gain that knowledge, underage and drinking to the point that they are brave enough to abuse the opposition (and their own) supporters (from a safe distance!)
I know loads of supporters just like me, not just from Warrington.
Are you a typical Wigan fan?
