| What’s people’s opinions. Personally I’m not a fan of the idea for different reasons.

Although it may be enjoyable for players and fans (I may even go as I didn't go to Milwaukee), it's another gimmick right from the endless RFL gimmick repository. Fiddling round with baubles and shiny things whilst not addressing the slow death of the pro game in the UK. I can imagine Karl could not contain his excitement.

| What’s not to like, show casing rugby league in Vegas. A lot of feedback from the Nrl teams was very positive, when they played in Vegas. Am all for it,

| The only way I could justify spending many hundreds of pounds to attend a rugby league match in the USA is if I made it part of a holiday, and as I can't think of many places more tacky and awful than Las Vegas to visit for a holiday, then needless to say the cash will be staying in my pocket. As a general observation, the powers-that-be should be more concerned with finding ways of getting fans in this country to fall back in love with RL, rather than going down the gimmick route yet again and shmoozing the Americans.

NRL would already be doing this with or without us as i am pretty sure they are in a 5 year deal for games in Vegas. All we have done is tag ourselves onto an already existing event. Good forward thinking by Radlinski to send across an email and throw super league's hat in the ring.

| I can see this from both sides. But for me. I see this as a net positive for the team and for the british game.
We become a bit more attractive again to possible superstars and players who wish to come and apply their trade at warrington. We are one of the teams they come to when doing these experiments. We always have led the way. Whether it was America in the 80s. The games we took on the road in the early superleague years. Or Vegas this time.
This is a net positive for warrington and the game (of handles well(

| This is brilliant for the game and about time we gave fans more big events to go to and understand that there's plenty of us who are up for this type of event.
I'm hoping to go and planning the trip with some mates. NRL did a great job last year from what I could see with proper fan zones etc. So as it's an NRL event it will actually be done properly and be a real spectacle.
I honestly don't get the negativity to it. Fair enough if you don't want to go or rather spend your money elsewhere but why be negative about it?

| Just wondering how this will fit in with WCC fixtures if us or Wigan are involved plus a participating Aussie team.?
And will the Pope be travelling over for the match ?

Each to their own but I think the other poster put it perfectly.
"the powers-that-be should be more concerned with finding ways of getting fans in this country to fall back in love with RL"
Fiddling while Rome burns springs to mind.

| We can be negative about lots of things in rl, but I think on balance this is a positive.
I can understand the reticence about Vegas and the cost in general but the NRL are setting the pace on this one not the RFL - and the idea of doing this came from Kris Radlinski.
Last years event was a success and by including an SL match and a womens international match they are going for 'bigger and better'.
The other alternative would be a Wigan Warrington match at The Brick Community Stadium at the end of February.....
I know which I'd prefer.

What do you think the objective is of playing a SL game in North America (after the hiatus of the Toronto experiment).
Is it to "raise awareness" again?
