We've lost Cooper to keep Powell. How does that make any sense?

To be honest I've been very supportive BUT I can't understand why he continues to use George Williams for our last play creative kicks. HE HAS NO KICKING GAME! That is a huge error in coaching judgement.

Collapse again. Defeat ia an occupational hazard but the manner in which we have capitulated in several games this year speaks volumes about the spirit in the camp.

Something is very wrong, and I no longer think its entirely down to a few bad eggs amongst the players. There is a total disconnect in the camp.

you have to be realistic... he has called out the 'bad culture' and now has a host of senior players on the way out.... they will be toxic and are probably a very big cause of this pathetic, clueless rugby.

Completely agree. He's a very, very good 6 and we play him at 7!! Does a good coach make that call? Only one halfback we have played this season has any kicking game and he has been called out for one bad kick and shipped out to Newcastle. Riley Dean should be our first choice 7 right now, Powell has made an error there IMO. Stop Williams kicking unless we are within the opposition 10 or something. Get thewlis back to 1 as well whilst your at it. The young players are the only glimmer of light this season!

I’m sorry, but this is absolute nonsense. The “culture” and cohesion has not been as bad as it is right now. The crowd, team and coach are all disconnected. The team aren’t playing for the coach, the coach sells them out in the media after the games, even when it wasn’t as bleak as it is now.

At this level, it’s not about coaching so much, it’s about building a plan to win and people management. He’s failing at both.

It’s June, and we’re 9th and have only beat Huddersfield from the top 5 and only won 5 in total.

It’s a shambles, there’s no excuse. Poor appointment, poor job being done and the players should be embarrassed. The whole thing needs to change, top to bottom.

Carry on playing like this and you will be playing in the championship next year. Powell has no idea how to manage a top four team, he is used to managing average players with low expectations.
