Apparently Boris Johnson was in the area yesterday and was presented with a Warrington top bearing his name. Personally I dont think that being associated with a divisive serial liar is a good look for the club and feel that this has been a PR slip up.

I didn't like it but the fact is the stadium is in a Conservative constituency and he was visiting the hospital with Warrington South's Conservative MP.
Nearly 50k people voted for Johnson in the town (North and South) so it's hard to be outraged, even if, like me, you didn't vote for him.

Agree with JN above.
Despite our 'political roots', I'm not convinced it's a bad thing as such and hardly in the same street as say Maggie Thatcher being presented with a Wakefield/Cas top (could you imagine)..
Leave the politics to the ballot box not the Club Shop IMO

No such thing as bad publicity, but it did make me wonder if it was one from 2 or 3 years ago and had the number 24 on it. |
