Wire performance or standard of pitch?

It was shocking, I know we've had a lot of rain but that doesn't account for the lack of grass and the tons of sand.

Well wire have room to improve, but Headingley pitch is always like this and by midsummer it looks good . The lodgers Ru get the blame

With any ground share its always the lodgers that get the blame. The RU probably blame you.

I think it's more to do with the new stands that have been built. They are much taller than the previous ones so therefore the pitch doesn't get the same amount of sun and wind to dry it out.

I used to like the old McLaren field pitch them gardens will be nice . Always liked Cas and Belle Vue

I don't think the new stands are the problem. The sun comes from behind the south stand and the pitch does get little direct sunlight in midwinter but the new southstand has a transparent roof so the pitch should get more light if anything. Not sure the southstand is much higher than the old one but maybe wrong on that. I agree the pitch is poor this time of the season, it always is. Not at its best until midsummer.
