He made a rash decision when trying to negotiate a better contract with Gold Coast... never really intended to try Super League and it backfired. Blake Austin, in contrast seems to have embraced the opportunity to come to SL earlier than he planned. His family have really thrown themselves into it, and on the pitch he has gone at it 110% since the first minute of the season.

I'm a fan of Blake already. He's already shown us in two games everything that Roberts didn't in a season's worth of matches.

A performance like that just proves to me what a wage thief Roberts actually was

To be fair he got Man Of Steel. I believe the voting panel consisted of the same judges who voted Kerry Katona ‘Mum of the Year’...

Also to be fair to Barba again, he didn’t play below par in any final last year. He might have been a bit iffy in a couple of semi’s. I’d have to ask Tom Lineham, Jack Hughes and Tony Gigot about that though.

the first two tries: one he simply shipped the ball on to Lattrell Mitchell, the best player in the world, who made a catch and pass look easy.

The second he couldn't even find a player with his pass. But just like many times last year he passed it in roughly the right direction it bounced on the floor and the winger managed a clean pick up to score.

Then he tried a drop goal in front of the sticks when they were about 16 points up and, Christ knows where it ended up but it missed...

hes still Bobbins but he's a bit warmer.....

Good luck to him, it didn't work out, we have moved on and it looks very much an upgrade so far.

Maybe a year at Warrington playing and training alongside the best has taken his game to new levels which will help his career back home. Even though he didn't make it here he should still look positively at his experience of coming over and testing himself alongside the elite.
