| Tough start.
Looking at previous middle 8 tables, 2 losses is ok, 3 and you're in million £ game territory. We need to be winning at least one of the first two. Win both and we're home and dry I'd suggest.

Why is this one 8pm, when the other Saturday TV games are afternoon? Bet London are well chuffed - their biggest game of the season, and a chance to get a good travelling support, and they get shafted by Sky, and get nothing for it. We've clearly less grounds to complain,as we loll around in Rupert's cash.
It's my only complaint though - i'm happy with Saturday afternoon games as the new norm, and pleased that I'll be able to make Fev away too.
Tough start (deliberate, surely, in an effort to create drama - the biggest story Sky/the RFL could hope for in the middles would be us struggling, so I find it hard to believe it's a coincidence we have our hardest game first, and second hardest second!).
I still think we'll slip up somewhere (this board will go into melt down if it's V. Widnes!!), but can't see us winning less than 6. Win the first 2, and we should win all 7.

We should be winning at least 6 of the games on that list even in our current crisis
If you are referring to my post, I make the point that this is the toughest start we could have had - do you disagree?
As I also said, I expect us to win 6 or 7 of these, but losing the first 2 would hardly constitute the biggest upset of all time. This is a risk, and I don't see why it's an issue to point it out. I still expect if we lose the Widnes game there will be people on here making ridiculous statements about bulldozing the ground and the like.

We've won 9 from 23 league games this season. We score on average 18 points a game. We let in on average 24 points a game.
After the season we've just witnessed any sane person would have quarters of doubt about beating our first two opponents. Especially with having to play Widnes on their god awful pitch.

Might be due to it being football international week and sky already have their live tv schedule for that day sorted, apart from that and the Widnes game [no trains back after the game] quite happy with the times

| Cats playing away from home are beatable by any team in the league so why should we struggle, Widnes finished bottom of the pile and should be treated as such, I am only thinking that Leigh may put up a fight, but even they are a team we should be beating. This is a new comp now and as such we should be full of confidence that we will be successful!!

I think the problem is the fact that if you look at the squad we had at the start of the year, you would have said that there was no chance whatsoever that we would have fallen into the bottom 4 - but we did. Now looking at the games in the new division you could say that there is no chance of us losing to sides like Widnes and Cats at home, unfortunately you only need some bad refereeing decisions, or bad luck, or nerves, or a critical injury, or Widnes / Catalans playing out of their skins, to lose these sorts of matches. Then team confidence falls and anything can happen.
One of the problems is the Middle 4's competition is designed purely to pull in more spectators. In doing so it risks a club finishing 9th actually dropping into the Championship. Now you could say that will never happen, Wire are far to good to go down. Unfortunately we saw with the old format Leeds finishing only 5th in the league but winning the GF - again, it shouldn't have happened. But in trying to get more spectators (by making the playoffs include most of the teams in the league), the RFL risked it happening, and we all know the outcome - they had to scrap that format and try this new one instead.

| Anything less than 100% effort & 100% attitude will not be good enough.
There are some experienced old stagers in these championship clubs who could pull a win out of the bag.
