| you were beaten in a close final, it happens. Truth is you were beaten upfront in the end. Smith didn't have the artillery that Wane had at his disposal and told in the end.
You still have a very promising squad are probably only a forward or two away from being the team to beat next year imo.

| Sadly 62 minutes without scoring a single point showed we were out fought and out thought.

| Probably.
.....simple thing is, we've blown our best chance to win a GF.
The worst Leeds side in 20 years.
Stains acting like my tumble drier....blowing hot and cold (it's really not been a good day).
Hull have been a busted flush since Wembley, and I've heard on the grapevine, that Wigan might have had some injuries, recently.
Yeah, outcoached.
Say what you like about Monkey Man. He can certainly motivate. Hate him or loathe him, his side won't spare anything for him
Let's bin Gareth Southgate, and get him doing the England football job. Big Sam without the bungs.

To add insult to injury, I'm a City fan. When this fraudster showed up on our doorstep, I shuddered. Even when City were 5h1te, we still played entertaining stuff. This charlatan made Peter Reid's City.seem like Brazil's 1970 side.
Maybe it's no coincidence that since Smith befriended him, we've started playing dull rugby.
But hey-ho, he's a plucky loser, just as the English like them to be. Screaming your head off because you scored a penalty against Spain, six years after missing one, doesn't make you "full of Bulldog spirit". It just means you can scream a lot.
Fluff off, Pearce

| Out coached again. ......
Tell me I'm not going to have to watch us buy top quality players. (Again ).
Train in top quality environments like tenerife (again ) with people like Andrew johns (again ).
Then come home to the best training facilities indoor pitches and the like and watch us shuffle players around and drop players in form and just win nothing. .....
(Again )..........
Because it's not for me ......
Smith has taken us as far as he can......time for someone new. ...

| 3 grand finals, arguably 3 different sets of players,
One constant.

| The pro-smith argument consists of one line 'well who else do you want?'. Admitttedly i have no answers, maybe others do....but it's a poor argument. His inability to react to a game plan tonight was there for all to see. Poor. I've had my fill.

| I don't know about out coached, there didn't seem to be much evidence of coaching from either set of players to be honest, but we were certainly, very, [ivery[/i heavily out motivated.
In the week I read, and I don't think I dreamt this, a quote from TS along the lines of "This [the GF] is not the most important match of the season. It's how you play over the year that counts ......". Now, whatever anyone thinks about the current league setup, the Grand Final most definitely IS the ONLY game that counts, because the winner gets to call themselves champions.
No-one, including themselves, would claim Wigan have been the best team over the course of the season but they arrived at Old Trafford knowing one last herculean push would see them lauded as Champions, irrespective of what went before. As a result, Wigan looked like they were prepared to run through brick walls, whereas we looked like we'd grumble at having to run through paper bags.
It was an awful, inexcusably and painfully flat performance. Blame fatigue or whatever if you like, but it was an even playing field - both teams have played the same teams, over the same season.
The simple, sad fact is that Wigan were hugely fired-up, and possessed the mental toughness to dig deep and overcome their mistakes and limitations, which were many. We froze in the headlights, and once again, exhibited collective brittle, fragile temperaments, soft-underbellies and a terminal lack of potency and intelligence.

| I really am beginning to believe that Smith is blotting his copybook.
All his reputation gained for his 4 years at Leeds, and his first four seasons here, are being unravelled, quickly.
I don't know who the replacement should be, but, truth of the matter is, Smith is getting staler than a fortnight old Warburton's Toastie.
I think he's taken us as far as he can. We need to move on, and so does Smith, but I fear that the new contract we offered him, after a whirlwind start to a season (always a poor thing to do), will merely bite us on our proverbial Aris'
