A win of any margin tomorrow against Wakefield will put us top of the league on points difference and one of only two teams with a 100% record. Let's hope we can continue our start to the season and pick up 2 points tomorrow.

I understand it might look exciting but we are only 3 games in.. Wakey won last week and will be hungry... One game at a time..

Always nice to be top early on, however our season will be defined in late March and April. 28th March we have Hull FC away then Wigan away, saints home, Huddersfield away, widnes away then Wigan at home.

Once we are through those games we'll have a good idea as to where this side is at. I've got a lot more confidence than in the last couple of seasons but Leeds, Wigan & Saints are yet to fire and it's inevitable that they will.

Our season will be defined in late July, August and September when we are hopefully in the Top 8 cementing a position in the Top 4 so we can get to Old Trafford and win. Our season will actually be defined on 8th October when we are either not there, taking part or winning it.

Defined was probably the wrong word but think you understand my point. It's too early to get excited. The tough schedule we have over April will tell us how good this squad is. I'm not saying we'll know whether we are going to win it, just know if we are good enough to make a more realistic challenge than the last couple of years.

It has been mentioned before on the forum, but as the season wears on the teams that can manage their injuries best will be well placed to get to Old Trafford. Some teams do well by deliberately going out to injure rivals best players.

League table means nothing at the minute though I'd rather be top four than bottom four. Ten-twelve games in is where it starts to matter. Just hope the squad are approaching a game against Wakefield as if they're as dangerous a side as Leeds, wigan, Saints, etc.

Probably, but we're not allowed to mention anything pre GF 2014, after the ben flower incident, it was bestowed by your lot on your board that it was history and we're not supposed to mention it and we need to move on, so basically its only two years.

Similarly, you must be happy at the fact McIlorum is injured and not going to get banned for being a house, silver linings and all that.

Not sure that any team will really fire this year. You're in with a shout, we (Wigan) are probably rightly the favourites but we aren't great, this year's side would get hammered by the 2010 Wigan side. Standards in SL are low at the moment and the title is up for grabs, with Wolves in the mix IMO.
