| Seeing everyone moaning and calling for heads on sticks is getting really boring now.
Does nobody else keep bringing themselves back to the same question?
1. When have we ever been all guns blazing in the first half of the season? Smith is not an idiot, he knows when to peak us, therefore I have full confidence in him that he will peak us come the business end.
Win tomorrow and we could potentially be third by the end of the day should results go our way and its all gravy on this forum again.
This has happened every season since 2012 where we have not performed at the start well enough at the start, wait until the pitches dry up and their will be some serious servings of humble pie.
That is all...

| Dry pitches don't account for
poor halfbacks
no kicking game
bad discipline
bad form
I, and many others appreciate your optimism, but simply saying (in as many words) that "it'll all get better in the end" simply doesn't wash.
We need performances from the players, not an agronomist.

And since 2012 we've done poor by our own high standards other than a CC win that so happened to be in the rain!

| The teams that want to win the title will have to up the ante this year with just a top four play off & a bigger prize for the end of season table toppers....teams that can avoid & manage injuries will do well .

| I'm sorry, but if you think that this season is comparable to slow starts in recent years gone by, you are only kidding yourself. 2012, for example the problem was keeping hold of the new Rhino football, however the class was there to get us through. See the televised game at Odsal which we narrowly won, for example.
Also, the new league structure means we can no longer dismiss as many games as meaningless. When you consider Cup weekends, the split is fast approaching and we want to secure four home games- ideally avoid an August trip to Perpignan too. The elongated playoffs will be incredibly tough and we don't want to go into it on the back foot.
The issue here is people are struggling to see where the improvement will come from. Being critical, does not make you any less of a 'true fan' than the eternal optimist who will never say a bad word. We all have the best interests of the club at heart and invest a significant chunk of money on following the Wire. If we can't debate and critique, what is the point in following a sport?

For only 25 minutes. And during that time Leeds got back into it. Luckily it cleared up after half time, and then we went back on the offensive.

It's not a case of 'all gravy in this forum' and 'humble pie', members on this site are simply expressing opinions based on what has been witnessed on the pitch, no more no less. It would be a pretty sorry state of affairs if there was no debate to be had. I for one hope we do turn things around, why the hell wouldn't I?!

I agree with your post but on here the most vocal critics of our current performances are open about how they no longer go to games. So they're literally just here to moan.

At the end of the day, WRLFC is a business, not a religion or cult. If customers are unhappy and/or spending their money elsewhere, the club needs to look at why.
