| I think we'll cope with Wigan better than we did a few weeks ago, but I am still way more confident in beating Saints.
My concern would be what toll playing Wigan would take on our already busted up side; even if we won I think we stand a fair chance of going into the GF heavily depleted.

Classy Cas.
Was honestly gutted for you tonight. You've had a great season and tonight was a hard fought match; you didn't deserve to go out by even that scoreline. That one shot of [ithat[/i Cas fan looking utterly dejected was painful. Every Wire fan knows that feel...
We'll see you next year, and best of luck to you .

| I think this year's GF should be dedicated to the thuggery within the game.

What on earth?
This thread makes out that Warrington are walking wounded, down to their last 13 Under 18's and still battling for the GF.
You'll potentially go into the semi next week missing just Grix? Who wasn't hurt by a bad tackle?
I think you're going to win it this year. Saints, Cats and Huddersfield aren't an issue and you'll potentially face Wigan in the final with just one man missing from your squad.

| We might have Grix definitely out of the running & maybe even Russell ,but there are more players nursing injuries who hopefully can carry on till, if necessary, the GF. I wouldn't be surprised to see some massive player rebuilding work once the season finishes ....getting injuries in normal play is bad enough but with the threadbare nature of squads these days it makes it all the more crucial to protect players from the thuggery that some teams mete out with alarming regularity.

No different to any other team in any other season IMO. Such is life for Super League players.
If you are referring to the Russell injury, there was no intent there at all. He didn't intend to do that to him, it was a complete accident.

| I am not just saying it is Warrington ,thuggery is rampant against other teams too but there is no excuse for allowing head high tackles ....there is no excuse to tackle any player above elbow height for that matter ,there is no excuse for tackling a player in a manner that could cause long term injury. If the referees can't stamp this out then what is wrong with the match review panel jumping on it? Coaches & chairmen would soon get there houses in order when their enforcers were suspended & sat in the stand for several weeks.

| Exactly, but go back a few short years & a stiff arm or dangerous tackle was a red card & so was tripping ,but all this has been watered down & only the RFL can't do anything about it .

| We can beat Wigan or Saints away we easily beat one a few weeks back and was in the process of ripping Wigan a new one until they got stuck in.
I would of taken reaching both semis back when Briers retired, we are the proper dark horses for the Grand Final, all the pressure will be on them two.

No way will Saints pick Warrington for the semi and that is the only way we could meet Warrington in the final (providing we win our semi of course).

Saints Chairman has always said he would only pick the lowest ranked team as he doesn't believe in the concept of club call. He is not usually a man to go back on his word. A lot of people think he will pick Wire. He might not of course.
