Defence was really strong, some great shoulder contact. Think I read somewhere 18 tackles without a miss. Not a bad effort on debut.

He is a quality lad who has deserved his chance after his displays for us in the Under 19s.

His younger brother Toby is another fine player who is pushing for a first team debut!!!

In fact there are quite a number of players in the Under 19s who are performing to a very high standard; the future looks very bright indeed

He did a great job, in fact apart from a shaky start by England and Glenn Riley (who doesnt look good enough to me) all the young lads have done well this year!

Riley's issue is handling. Once he's got that nailed he'll be a reliable jersey.

I just dont see it, he seems to panic anytime the ball comes near him, I hope to be proven wrong though.

I said someting similar about Gene Ormsby at the start of the season. Riley has been unlucky with injury, he just needs some game time.

His defence needs to be better, the opposition target him.

He needs to get back to basics, take the ball in, cross the advantage line, fast PTB. At the moment he's snatching at the ball and his confidence looks low.

I still don't think he looks like he has a rugby brain, in that he knows instinctively which lines to run, how to maximise his physique and how to spot half gaps or weak links in the opposition line. To be honest he reminds me a bit of a RU forward finding his way in the game.

I know forwards aren't noted for their intelligence, but the best ones have an inherent rugby intelligence that tells them where the hot spots in the opposition defence are, when to hit them and with what body position.
