| I must have a fault on my laptop as there are no threads slagging him off today, wondering why?

| He really upped his game yesterday. A couple of class offloads and some strong drives. Great credit to him as it was obvious he was making a big effort. A good number of posters have praised his performance on the Wire v Bradford thread. When the players were walking off at the end TS appeared to give him a pat of recognition as if to say 'nice one, good effort!'.

Let's not get carried away here.He did ok but still a bit lazy when you compere the work rate other players put in for much less money I'd guess.Got a long way go before I rate him in our best ever signings.

| Credit too him, he was much better. But I'm not going to get carried away, it was only Bradford.

| His efforts were less that of Hill and understandable but all round better than England. England's fitness is still way off although I do see improvement. He wouldn’t get starts in many other SL teams, we're shot in the prop department.

| What he did yesterday is the absolute bear minimum of what I would expect from him.

I nearly choked when I read it.

| He made 3 first man in tackles, he drove the ball in hard twice.
2 instances of putting B.Evans in a gap and about 15 2nd/3rd man in tackles.
Not exactly setting the world on fire is he, yet the apologists and the uber fans, those that would support a garbage player all season ( because that's what fans should do, a true fan supports no matter what) are on here saying look, look he had a game in which he DIDNT ACTUALLY SUCK.
Pathetic really

| I have to agree with Yed, he had an alright game and it was certainly nothing special, he is still lazy in the tackle and seems to detest running back the 10 so will always be 2nd or 3rd man in the tackle.

| He played well... still hasn't been anything more than a solid player - but to start slagging him off after obvious improvement seems a bit silly.
Just out of curiosity do we actually know whether he is on lots of cash? I know we all assume it as soon as a player from down under whose name we know signs on, but I can't remember ever reading it anywhere.

| Somebody said last week £160,000 a year, not sure if they just picked that out of the air or if it is true.

| I think the problem is that we shouldn't be at a game watching a seasoned professional, former international captain and picking faults in his game, he should be an example to everyone at the club as to how you should play the game.
A slight improvement in one game against Bradford does not suddenly put right the sheer non interest he has shown in every other game he has played. He still has a lot to improve on and from where he came from he should need no improvement!

| I think his performance was a marked improvement from
before so there's something to be positive about for both none-uber fans and uber fans.

Any speculation about salary here is just that: speculation. No one knows outside of club officials, and they certainly don't post this sort of info.
