A dig at Dennis Betts.
I'm no fan of Betts but I'll respect him for not rising to it.

Betts was a fine player, is an excellent ambassador for RL and has come through plenty of stick from Widnes fans with his dignity in tact. He's a better advert for RL than rent-a-gob will ever be.

RL should throw the book at him and make the point that they run the game, he runs a club and isn't doing a great job of that given recent events.

What's Betts done initially to get a rise out of Koukash?

His post match comments where he said widnes were a million times better would be my guess

A poster on the scarlet turkey said it was about Meli's failure to score a try and even if it was Betts said tommy lee wouldn't have converted it...! I didn't hear that interview but I guess if he said it, then it was a little thoughtless from Betts.

Seriously? You'd think a millionaire business man would have thicker skin.

He needs to realise that throwing money at the problems that Salford had won't fix things over night.

Match officials, Betts, the RFL and even (ironically) his own players are all in his verbal firing line because he can't handle his lack of success.

Nobody like losing, but his dummy spits are an embarrassment for him, his club and the sport (given that he is being heralded by the pundits as a messiah-esque figure...)

It does smack of hypocrisy when he's criticising people left left right and centre AT SALFORD, soon as someone else does it though and he shows his a*se

Marwan Koukash, the owner of Super League club Salford, will step up his search for a director of football following their Challenge Cup exit.

Koukash, a wealthy racehorse owner who has poured thousands of pounds into the club, said he reached the "lowest point of my sporting life" after Salford's 30-20 home defeat by Widnes.

He had claimed on Twitter after the game that he had "done all he could to bring success to Salford", but insisted on Monday that he would not stop trying. Koukash said: "If I didn't have the determination to succeed, I would have walked away yesterday. But I am so determined to make it work and no one is going to stop me. Nothing is going to hinder our progress. Mistakes made before will not be made again."

Koukash, who set his expensively rebuilt side the target of a top-six finish at the start of the season, sacked head coach Brian Noble after they won just three of their first seven matches and replaced him with Iestyn Harris. Noble has rejected the offer of an alternative role of director of football and Koukash will now turn his attention to Australia to fill the post.

"I don't think Brian will be taking the role on," Koukash said.

Koukash is also looking to make at least one overseas signing and is planning to fly down under next month for face-to-face talks.

He accepts Harris is starting from scratch, but insists a top-eight finish finish is still possible and has not ruled out a push for Old Trafford.

"I am not going to give up on this year," he added. "If we are in the top eight, I will make sure we have the extra armour to go to war with."

I hated the guy to start with, then I started to warm to him, now he's just a complete cock.

He should have been serious about looking to buy Oldham Athletic because the amount of times he whines and complains, he's a perfect fit for football.

He's hardly blessed with patience is he? I can count a dozen matches or occasions during my Wire-supporting career where I'd have been forgiven for wiping my backside on my replica jersey, chucking it off Bridge Foot and going and finding something better to do.

But you don't, because you're a supporter and that's a lifelong relationship and a bond that money, success, failure, time and fashion don't change.

I hope he sticks it out for Harris's sake as an emerging coach. Harris doesn't need someone that is going to promise big things for a couple of years and then jump ship.
