| Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are about tonight's game? Without being either pessimistic or looking through P & B tinted glasses, is everyone expecting a win tonight? I'm just wondering what the overall effect of losing a few of our 'big' players will be both on the field and off. Obviously it will be grand to win, but personally I think I'll be happy, seeing it's the first game of the season, with the team showing signs of promise for the season ahead. Thoughts guys?

| Win for me. All this hype about saints massive pack and the one we have put out tonight looks comparable bearing in mind we are also missing harrison, wood and grix. Does anyone know if rhys evans is injured or just not selected?

Also bearing in mind saints have 2 out of their 3 offseason signings who are forwards out injured as well?

| Could go either way. More confident if the weather stays dry.

Do you think that both Masoe and Beaumont would be in the 17 if fit, and if so in place of whom?

Don't know about the 17 ( I don't know whose playing) - but masoe definitely would be in the 19 instead of Richards (great prospect, but one for a few years time), and I'm sure if you asked any number of saints fans, having Beaumont (or Flanagan) in the 19 over wellens would give us more options.

| I am optimistic. As ever. Then again I'm optimistic of a fightback even when we're 30 points down with half and hour left on the clock, so don't mind me. I am looking forward to seeing the new signings, the ones that are playing, and finding out how they are. Hopefully it stays dry, if it does I think it may be a 20 + margin on the cards.

The way it's going that could be a distinct possibility.

Saw it on the replay, but couldn't make it out clearly. either way - he was badly positioned.

| He could have picked Myler at prop, Waterhouse at fullback, Ratchford at loose, Westwood on the wing. No one looks settled, and granted it's one game but Roy Asotasi is no Morley or Carvell.
No platform from the forwards, zero penetration from the forwards.
God it does look like we'll miss Lee and his organisation.
Oh yeah, playing Monaghan at 7 helped contribute to the sacking of two managers. He's a ing hooker.
