Booked from Manchester to Barcelona to watch Warrington play Catalans in August, but Catalan Sports Tours aren't running transfers from Barcelona to Perpignan anymore.

Can anyone recommend an alternative way of getting from Barcelona to Perpignan as quickly as possible, because we play on the Friday night and we only arrive Friday morning.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Yep we have the same, just looking into it now, can get a bus for 12 at £50 approx. return we have 6

We have used Shuttle Direct a couple of times, reliable and hassle free.

I have done the train journey a couple of times, its quite easy you change trains just into spain, they wait for each other so there is no danger of missing a connection.

Found a few options but can anyone send me a PM to point me in the direction of the cheapest flights/hotels?

hire a car - couple of hours on the motorway - simples

They took us from Canet to Girona in September, really good service. Looks as though they have departures from Barca airport at 1000 and 1200 arriving in Perpi 4 hours later.

We'll be doing the car again, love it. This year we avoided the motorways and headed in to the mountains out of Barca. Stopped off in a couple of beautiful spots - Castellfollit de la Roca and Besalu. If you have more time then you could also take a route to Andorra, the drive down from the mountains up there to Perpignan is fantastic and goes thro some beautiful places.

If you are coming across to France for the match against the Dragons why not spend a few days in St Cyprien, which is just down the coast from Canet and only 25 minutes from the stadium.

St Cyprien is the official seaside resort of the Dragons and has a long history of rugby league. Your players are probably staying at the Golf Club in St Cyprien as this is where visiting teams normally stay.

If you PM me I can give you information on properties available to rent and details of transport to and from the stadium. The properties are especially suitable for couples or families.
