I know they say there is no such thing as bad publicity but it really was awful and just re-enforced all the usual stereotypes. Bacon apologised to bored listeners then rushed back to an interview about sewing. You couldn't make it up! We are the second most watched sport on SKY with 35% of viewers down south, we shouldn't have to feel honoured that 5Live dedicates five minutes to one of British sport's most famous and historic competitions.

You would have thought (hoped) that Bacon would have had the decency to do a little research into what he was presenting and his special guest.

Due to the unique way in which the BBC is funded, when they're good they're very very good, but when it's RL they're worse than useless.

For those that didn't hear it (me) what happened that was so bad as to have caused such indignation or this just the usual moaning?

well right at start they said number 2 three times before someone realised you need to also name the team,then billy boston called out number 9,there was no number 9,and then bacon called workington wokington.

That it, really? let it go, it makes Bacon look amateur not us.
