Maybe a little surprised Hodgson got 2 years but he's obviously benefitting from squad rotation.

Does anyone know the situation re. Ben Currie? Have we got him tied to a lengthy contract? Hope so.

I am nit picking but I would have been happier if Mickey H would have got 2 years instead of his one, i'm not complaining its just that I rate Mickey H a lot.

Also how daft does Huddersfield's offer of a one year contract to Brett back in 2010 before he signed a 2 year contract with us. At the time the Giants thought Brett had no more than one year at the top and here he is playing top flight RL until the end of 2014.

No extension for Big Dave could be seen as leaving space on the Cap for Bateman to sign for us

What about Ben Currie ?? That is by far the most important question for me.

Surprised about Higham. I thought he wanted to leave and concentrate on his business.

Laithwaite looks to have been given a year to prove himself.

Very surprised about Hodgeson's 2 yrs unless he is going to be coaching as well.

Not really surprised about Solo, Rhy Williams and Lee Mitchell.

That's quite a long extension for GOB, they must believe there is still a lot to come from him yet, which is good news.

I'd hazard a guess there's a contract there for him, just he can't sign it yet while he's in Aus.

Thing that concerns me is I'd heard about a few of these a couple of months ago so I'm a little surprised Currie's wasn't sorted before he went off on his trip... We've still got him til November so no panic stations yet.

There were rumours that he had been offered a 2 year contract by Saints, so I guess that Smithy wanted to keep him @ the HJ rather than go to another rival

Agree with FB about Solo, it would leave cap space for a signing. I assume Rhys and Lee leaving will allow 2 U20's to be promoted.

I wonder if number of games played forms part of Hodgeson's, Morley and Briers contracts ? I can not see Hodgeson's and Briers playing a lot more than say, half of our matches next year.

Don't quote me, but I'm sure I read somewhere a few months ago that Ben Currie was already on a 4 year contract.

Coops got a two year extension.

I am surprised that Hodgson has got a two year deal, and I hope that the deal incorporates some coaching aspect with the U20s and academy players as he is top class.
