I'm really looking forward to how Tony Smith reacts and sorts out these problems we are having. He came in at a point where we couldn't have got any worse and took us to the top with the best rugby I'd ever seen at Wire.

He's now faced with a big problem of an ageing side and one that is bang out of form and looks disjointed. Whether it's the Myler-Harrison squad splitter or the Aus pre-season, or whatever I'm going to enjoy watching how he turns it around as he will. The honeymoon is over, over to Tony Smith.

The posters who subscribe to the ISWT philosophy will no doubt be looking on with not only great concern, but great hope that he can turn the tide otherwise their philosophy will die on it's backside.

Briers has probably another year in him

So we need to start slowly bringing through the youth so that they are ready for when these players go.

Carvell and Joel Monaghan, love knows what's wrong with them this season but Carvell is a liabilty and J.Monaghan looks to have traded his petrol engine for a diesel.

Wood looks to have been taking way too long reading Rauhihi's training and playing regime

Simplistic nonsense. Ourplayers are plenty good enough and the errors are pretty random and not confined to just the oldest players. Picking two examples - bridge and Joel are neither average or too old but both had poor games today.

Not really. Must admit expected more from Waterhouse but I did from Matt King in his first 12 months. As for Chris Hill we are relying too much on a young man who was playing Championship rugby last season.

It's the J Monas, Carvell and Mylers who aren't producing and Hodgson is not as sharp as last season

We are back to a few seasons a go - if briers dosent play well we fall apart

These players have been replaced Ratchford, Hill and O'Brien are the future in those positions

I know, i needed to word this better, filter them in slowly at first (that bit's done)
then as time goes by they get more game time until they are actually playing more games than the older players.

I think more of the younger players should be blooded in, to gain the experience

When Tony Smith came to our club he made two massive statments.
1 got rid of Martin Gleesson..
2 Dropped Lee Briers..
We all thought he had lost his marbles,I am sure he will turn things around and in the near future no one will look forward to facing Warrington Wolves home or away again..

Im disappointed Briers didn't step up when Myler got injured

The team needs to give the tackle bags some hammer this week. Too much s cragging and not enough solid tackles going in resulting in Catalans breaking the line on too many occasions. Right across the board tackles were missed. GOB seemed to be one of the only ones who had read the tackling manual.
