| Great to have the Wierdness game back, but even going back to the cold days I always prefered New Years Day/East Monday games to Boxing Day/Good Friday so wigan is the game I'm looking forward to most.

| Until Widnes get established in SL i think the games with them in the short term will be more about curiosity value for a while, its mainly to see how far away they are from being a competetive SL side. The Widnes fans will know this, for them its all about rebuilding over the next few years, the first year will be a big fact finding mission to see where they need to strengthen and then gradually get stronger like Hull KR did. You'd expect us to pick up the 4pts against them this year from both games until they get a lot stronger.
To answer the original question from a competetive, quality game point of view you would have to say either the Wigan or Saints games, i voted for the saints game. Their is just something about our games with saints that make them a great spectacle, they are very open, great flowing RL games where both sides look to play the game the right way unlike the WWF tag team from down the road with their spoiling tactics and slowing the game down.

A derby is an important sporting event, nothing to do with location.
A local derby is an important sporting event contested by teams from the same area.
That's according to the Oxford dictionary. Loads of people get it wrong.

| We should pan all of them again. Only Salford got the better of us in the league.

| My 1st has to be Wigan
2nd Saints, due to the sell out crowd
3rd & 4th are more difficult to choose, Widnes is closer but I always enjoy our games with Salford.

If it WAS geography, it's Widnes as i'll illustrate
shortest route (walking)
Widnes 6.9 miles
Leigh 8.3 miles
St Helens 8.5 miles
Wigan 11.8 miles
Salford 13.6 miles
How do you define closest rival though? if you're in a relegation/league winners battle with any of the above then that game becomes more important, so then derby games are transient.
I'd just go with what Mark says.
