Still think it should be Don Fox. Says everything about the thin line between success and failure in one single moment.

Jonathan Davies should not be on the list. Fine player, but most of his years were spent in Union.

Also noticed JD in the BBC preview video for EngvAus. Now, I know he played for GB against the Aussies but England?

I still havent changed from my view of Don Fox and that image of him down on one knee head in his hands. but after watching the England Game yesterday and seeing Hanley in the Crowd I'm moving a bit more towards my second option of Ellery....

I can only assume the Camera's didnt focus on Shaun Edwards in the Crowd because
A) he wasnt there as he isnt much interested in the game
b) Cant Show his ugly ing face pre watershed

Clive Sullivan, the last englisman to lift the RL World Cup, to be placed next to the last englishman to lift the football world cup.

I actually think a Don Fox statue with his head in his hands etc is a bit disrespectful to Don Fox. It's bad enough that that is the moment he is remembered for, I know he died a few years ago but I wonder what his family would think of it. He was one of the top players of his generation and for most people all they know is he missed a kick in front of the posts. Having a statue of Fox at Featherstone would be fair enough but I think Wembley just adds to the caricature of what Don Fox has become. He's not remembered as a great player so much as a 'poor lad'. Yes its a moment to remember in the game's history but I bet that haunted him for the rest of his life so should the game be making fun of him after he is gone?

For me it should be one of Edwards, Offiah or Hanley. All recognisable players who did great things at Wembley.

There have been lots of dramatic incidents in Wembley cup final history some not now in living memory for many ,so I would put it down to 3 Jim Sullivan being the first winning Capt,Neil Fox ,Ellery Hanley ,He is still our games most famous player/personality

Look one of his fondant fancies in the eye and then go and read some real poetry.

Alex Murphy for me. Won the cup at Wembley with three different clubs, including the somewhat unfashionable Leigh. In fact, you could also say the same thing about Warrington prior to Murphy's arrival. Edwards, Offiah and Hanley all had the advantage of slotting into already-succesful and major teams.
