Let's remember you now become only the 2nd team to finish top and not make the grand final. Saints didn't in 2005, but they inexplicabbly lost all their key players to injury on the eve of the playoffs. No such bad fortune has befallen warrington.

Phil clarke said last week when the clubcall was made he could sense an element of fear in the choice. And i believe now (with hindsight) he was right.

Here you have a team with tremendous playoff pedigree coming back into form, and warrington felt oblidged to pick them because they were the lowest ranked team.

It's not like you can say 'we'll be more consistent'' we'll finish higher in the table to give ourselves a better chance.

So i'm struggling to see where you go from here next season. I guess just go at it again and hope next time the result goes your way in the big game when it counts.

Where do we go from here you ask? We carry on as normal, the fact is that any of the 4 semi finalists would of made worthy winners and we got beat by the narrowest of narrow margins (could so easily have gone either way) we'll be back next season believe me

The last year has been fantastic! I loved every exciting roller coaster minute.

I've already got my 2012 season ticket, I'll be at every game, and the boys will be stronger and better.
They are the Super League champions in my book, Wire fans will be there by the thousands next year and I'll be one of them.

they go where every team in sport go , freshen up then get back into pre season taking the positives(and there was alot of ) and building on them and implementing the new signings into the fold.

To say warrington wolves is a favourite to reach the grand final over a team with such a great pedigree as leeds as a testament to how far the club has got to , its not all doom and gloom as someone has said the match could of gone either way.

Proud to be supporting the wire and it is exciting that we can now expect to be fighting to the death for every honour from now on.
