This week (Tuesday) saw my sister in law reach 30. A special birthday

Tonight is her birthday party with all family and friends etc going.

After beating Wigan last week, I called them and said “sorry cant miss the Hull game, will do something some other time, hope you understand”. They did. Brother and Dad opted to go to the party.

Me and my brother have been watching Warrington since 1990 with our Dad.

Text them both this morning saying will be thinking of them whilst I’m in Hull and wish we could share the potentially great moment together.

Today I get an email of my dad “any room in your car for a little one”. “of course Dad” I said. Dad gets ticket. I was a little surprised that he had managed to get my mum to agree, but well played.

11am, my phone rings at work. My brother. “Just told the wife I’m not going her party tonight, I’m going the game, can I jump in your car”

Hats off to the big man, when it appeared all was lost! Massive dog house stint inevitable, potentially watch us win the league for the first time in our lifetime….worth it!

Priorities!

It's got to be said, that man has balls. Hope we win, it'll be the only warmth he'll get for a good long while as I can imagine she'll hold this over his head so long he'll forget what the sun looks like. Any woman I know would.

My son's birthday is on Grand Final day.

And I live 250 miles from Old Trafford.

my 30th is on the 10th, we moved to Glasgow in march and need to be in cumbria to sort out the wedding on the 7th.


Booked the GF tickets today for me and my bro. No idea how i'll sell that one to herself.

In my house *everything* is organised around the rugby. That's the way life should be!

"Go to the game. We can go out on Saturday instead".

I knew on our very first date, when I didn't have any money on me and she paid for dinner, that she was the woman for me!
