Best player in super league get sick of hearing about him but when he produces great tries like that can't blame them. Why did sky pick this game? Was always going to be a walkover Salford v Hudds would have been much better.

I would love Tomkins to go to the NRL just to see if his pretty much one dimensional (my opinion) or one of the best players in the world....

To me he seems great in broken play but is a poor decision maker i.e he will dummy and go on his own when Wigan have overlaps, don't rate him under the high ball, or defensively either.

I think he would really struggle against the fitter more organised NRL defences, but maybe he will shine in the 4 nations for once, who knows.

Maybe its because Briers hasn't been playing behind a dominant pack, that seems to be the excuse for Tomkins failure against the best players in the world at International level.

I guess he has 2 CC medals, which is more than most have. He has still massively underachieved though

Ok, so achieving more than Briers means his one of the best players in RL (which lots of Wigan fans claim), thanks for clearing that up.

Sam is one of the best players in SL, definately top 30, but he is a poors mans Jarryd Hayne.
