| Just looking on their forum and theres a thread askign which of the two games against us are most important, cup or league. And someone has said about them not thinking they've really recovered (patchy performances as we all have been told) since the WCC game. Whether you agree with that or not, dont think its a huge issue, as it was a stand alone game rather than being shoe horned in.
FFWD>> to this week, they've played friday, had a rough match v leeds, they're playing again this weds, against a cas side, i wouldn't have thought would cause them much probs (sorry cas fans), the other part of this, which i didn't realise is that they're playing Quins away on Saturday, which is a very very short turn around. Again, dont think quins will turn them over but essentially they're going through another easter period again, whilst they've got the game in hand that they probably will go top with, is this going to have a knock on effect fatigue wise, for the rest of this month?

Shows that you are worried about them given you bring this up. I think Wigan's squad is capable of coping with the two games given the opposition. Had those games been say Catalans and Huddersfield they may have struggled.
They have enough depth and I reckon they could field a reserve team and still beat Quins.

Wouldn't say worried, but its a variable, much like whoever gets the cup final is a variable, which everyone keeps saying, 'IF' we are fortunate enough to win it again, itll have this total knackering effect on us going into the play offs. That and th extra games played etc.

| They say it don't really kick in till the week after, but even then they've got Wakefield, and then us in the cup. Tiredness may play a factor but i'm not sure it will.

| In the thread about the Wire games most of them have said they would rather win the cup game and are desperate to get to Wembley..? What a difference a year makes....
They were calling the Challenge cup a mickey mouse comp when Moz was holding it aloft 2 years on the spin...

It is. The Cup is a nice day out, but it's the Grand Final everyone wants to win. A far bigger high than winning the cup IMO.

I just don't see why. The GF is much harder to win. The challenge cup usually has 2-3 tough games.
Don't say I'm saying it just because we won the GF last year, I am a fan of the club who has won the Challenge cup more than any other.

Could be because the cup is R.L.'s most historic trophy and its played at Wembley stadium where every professional sportsman dreams of playing especially in a final...
The Grand Final is played in a football stadium and the playoffs were manufactured by Sky to prolong the season and keep the money rolling in...

Read the thread, most of us state (me included) that the cup game is more important as we can still lose to you in the league and still finish top and / or win the GF. Thats all. I would still rather win the GF, but to knock you out of the cup at the HJ would be a massive win for us given that you have played the best rugby this year thus far.
