| Get him back from Quins ASAP. They played him at fullback yesterday and he had a nightmare.
They'll destroy him down there.

| As i understand it, TS sent him down there to get first grade experience at FB due to Luke Dorn's injury and as some people seem to think, we are prepping him to take Hodgson's place in a couple of years.
That or TS just doesn't like him, and this is one way to free some space on the salary cap.

| Well, he was dreadful at FB yeaterday. In attack and defence.
I'd say he contributed directly to 24 of our points.

| That's just the opinion of some people. I reckon the latter as why else would you drop your top try scorer from last year in place for a young unproven lad in Williams? Also we brought in Helliwell from Bradford who I have been told was one of the best FB's at his age. (Not seen anything of the academy this year, other guys on here will be able to give more info on this)
To be fair, he's played most of his first grade on the Wing, so the experience at FB may do him good in the long term... Quins fans could probably advise how he is going better than just an opinion from what sounds like a poor performance in one game.

He didn't have the best games at FB against Bradford either by the looks of things, made a poor attempted tackle on Shad Royston. I don't think he's cut out to be a full back unless he can work on his 1-on-1 tackling.

| Unfortunately, I fear Riley will dissapear in to the mist after this season.
Widnes will probably look to pick him up and he would be a good signing for them.

| Would he a better option on the wing than Rhys Williams at the moment? In my opinion yes, but then again I also rate Kevin Penny higher and he'll almost certainly never play for us again.

| How come Williams hasn't been singled out ofr poor defensive for Salfords third try? Should never been that far in.

| Scapegoats have allready been decided upon, Nikaed
It's Clarke, Clarke and Clarke
I remember KPenny being tarred and feathered for something similar v Stains when Lowes was 'in charge'....easy target, that Penny
To have Williams over SL's 2nd top try scorer (last season) is baffling. Mr Smith is the coach, we have to stand by his decisions

The more worrying thing was on the third try, Cooper seemed to think we were playing tag rugby...

| Williams is even boring on twitter. I think I'm still in love with Kevin Penny. I'm like guy who hates everybody who goes out with his ex, always saying stuff like "ugly that new lad". I may never get over the loss off Kev.

| No one criticised Williams when we were winning. Yet, we lose against Hull - he gets criticised; we lose against Salford - he gets criticised. I don't particularly rate him as exceptional, but Smith thinks he's a better option for first team than Evans or Riley. Yesterday, Briers and Monaghan were furthest from what we expect.

| As a winger Riley is better than Williams
He must have done something seriously wrong to Mr Smith to be on the Harlequins naughty step

I criticised him after his first game didn't see what he had over Penny apart from a bigger body mass.
A very ordinary Winger in my opinion.
He made one good return yesterday other than that looked quite laboured.
He has an awful running style and when he is slowing down its like he turns into a man made of jelly. He just seems go completely limp ....
He's an odd one for me.....he could be my John Clarke and will never win me over, i"m in the same boat as nikaed and am fully expecting jim Bowen to tell us in a couple of years look what you could have had.
